The Glitter Run is not a timed competition, it’s a run/walk that’s fun for people of all ages, sizes, and abilities. The route is approximately 5-kilmoeters (or 3 miles). While traveling through seven glitter stations along the route, volunteers will sprinkle a different color of non-toxic, washable and fabulously vibrant glitter on you and the thousands of other participants.

You’ll pass within view of iconic Hollywood landmarks that include the Hollywood sign, TCL Chinese Theatre, the Capitol Records Building and the Dolby Theatre, home of the Academy Awards. All along the route, we’ll have water stations and treats.

When you finish, you’ll be a shimmering rainbow of seven colors and receive a commemorative medal, a Glitter Run towel and free entrance to our Dazzling Dance Party!  You’ll also get your choice of an official Glitter Run t- shirt or tank top.

No fundraising is required, just a tax-deductible registration fee that supports the Los Angeles LGBT Center.

Dazzling Dance After-Party

Our celebration of diversity starts with the 5K run/walk and continues through the Dazzling Dance After-Party, which is free with your registration! We’re creating a totally immersive experience featuring music from some of L.A.’s most celebrated D.J.’s and a dance floor with special lighting to showcase all the glimmering bodies. Mimosas, Bloody Marys, and other beverages will be available and so will a collection of the city’s most popular food trucks. Be sure to get your picture snapped in one or more of our photo booths and enjoy the many surprises we’ve planned.

Southern California is one of the nation’s most diverse regions, with immigrants from countries throughout the world and people of all ages, sexual orientations and abilities. Our residents represent a huge variety of religious faiths and perspectives with people who identify at all points on the gender spectrum.

While some political leaders try to divide us based on our differences, The Glitter Run will unite us in a celebration of our wonderful diversity.

Whatever your physical abilities—and whether you run, walk or roll in a wheelchair—you’re helping to build a healthier body by participating in The Glitter Run. In the process, you’re supporting a stunning event and a vital organization.

Have you been feeling on edge because of the political climate in our country? The Glitter Run is a creative and fun opportunity to brighten your spirits by doing something adventurous, something celebratory, something fabulous, and something you’ve never done before… with thousands of other like-minded people. And it’s all for a great cause.
